We need a better physical world, better factories, products and energy solutions. Engineers are thus the key as they build the physical world. We envision a future where engineers are free to solve the problems that matter, because routine engineering work is automated, governed and continuously improving. We are starting with repetitive documentation work, one of the biggest drains on engineering productivity today.

Why waywise

Repetitive documentation work is one of the significant drains on engineering productivity today. We first tried to solve this problem 15 years ago, but the technology was not ready. Generative AI is the breakthrough we needed and over the last two years, working with manufacturing leaders such as ABB and Bausch + Lomb, we explored vertical AI, assistants and agents to automate this work.

Each approach fell short either on trust or scale. The key challenge was how to ensure automation that is repeatable, traceable and governed every time with no exception, acorss any documentation workflow. This challenge has led us to a new apporach and Waywise: a dedicated product for turning routine engineering work into governed workflows that humans and AI can execute consistently at scale.
